In the past 10 years I have found that Canary Island Date palms located in California from the Mexican border North to Sacramento can be successfully transplanted year round.
Of course some will say that the coldest 2 months of the year should be avoided, but I believe if the proper removal procedure is followed with a large rootball , and the palm is pulled, delivered, and planted soon thereafter, and all planting specifications are followed accordingly, including the use of soil amendments, aeriation vent tube assemblies, and liquid nutrients, that your new Canary Island Date palms will not skip a beat year-round.With you the buyer, and me the installer keeping an eye on the weather these palms can be successfully removed and installed year round. |
